A major retail wave is headed for Bastrop that could bring nearly 2 million square feet of stores and shops, according to various people involved in the deals.
Endeavor Real Estate Group LLC plans to build 1 million square feet of retail at its Pecan Crossing project on more than 100 acres it has a contract to buy near the southeast corner of Texas 71 and County Road 304.
....
And across Texas 71 from Endeavor's planned project, local developer Steve Durhman has about 60 acres under contract — land owned by the family of actress and native Houstonian Hilary Duff — for another retail project. It would be called Burleson Crossing and would have up to 900,000 square feet of retail space.
