I found these renderings of Vidorra, I'm not sure if they've been posted yet. I haven't seen these.

This is a really nice looking project. It's slated for Sunset Station which is across I-37 from downtown.

Construction of the first tower is supposed to begin this October.

Another angle of Vidorra. I really like the look of this project.

A new rendering has been found for the Vidorra Towers. Apparently, the building will be 20 floors now, instead of 25.

Here's the new rendering. Much different, and maybe not as good as the original, but it's still not bad.

^ So will there still be two towers or just one?I like the old renderings better. The new one looks bland, kinda like the proposed Carnegie in FW.

There should still be two. Unfortunately, they're supposed to be down to 20 floors though. Not sure what this will do to the height. I'll ask around and see what else I can find out about it.

The new rendering is kind of bland, but I'm not liking the top portions of the original designs either. They look like they might fly off with a strong wind. Actually, looks like a couple of UFO's landed on top of the buildings. Laughing

I always wondered why there wouldnt be one tall and slim buildings instead of one, two,or three short wide structures.I like this project, but for more verticially challenged cities, like SA or FW,there should be more height and in more dense areas. Is this project anywhere near DTSA?

texastrill. These buildings are going up across I-37 from downtown. They'll be about half a mile from the Alamodome near the interesection of I-35 and I-37.

Trae, as far as we know, yes, there will still be two towers. And they're actually 21 floors, not 20, according to the renderings.

They had the ground breaking ceremony Friday for Tower I. Great news, San Antonio is looking up.

Thanks to Asobi Seksu over at SSP for taking this shot of the site.
